Colombia is a major supplier of German electricity producers. To cheap to get to the raw material, exploiting the responsible man and nature without pity - with devastating consequences.

For companies such as Vattenfall, Eon, EnBW and Evonik burn more coal from Colombia, where it gradually degrades under catastrophic conditions. In recent years, moved the South American country to become a major supplier in Germany. ... The sharp rise in the global spot price of coal highlights the folly of India planning to use imported coal for part of its future power generation. Spot coal prices have shot up to $140 per tonne in Australia and $123 per tonne in South Africa.
